Victoria Beckham All Year Round

The designer takes on seasonless dressing with Reebok x Victoria Beckham Drop Four.

At this point in 2020, who even knows what month or day it is. The things we do (or don’t do) and the way we dress have been sent into a tailspin. But it’s not all bad news. With more of us working, working out and entertaining (safely) from home, there’s more need than ever for versatile and comfortable clothing.

“This collection is about clothes that make me feel confident, but that I don’t have to think too much about,” says Victoria Beckham, whose new Reebok x Victoria Beckham collection debuts today.

With luxe fabrics and modern-meets-utilitarian details, the new collection is everything we want to wear this holiday season—and well into next year.

FABRICS

When it came to choosing materials for the new collection, Beckham had performance top of mind. “I wanted true performance pieces for the gym that have been thoughtfully and meticulously designed to be adaptable, and to move with me for all facets of my life,” she says.

One look at Beckham’s Instagram confirms her love of working out and all things movement, so she made sure fabrics could keep up. Think compact stretch Eurojersey, cowl neck sweaters in a gorgeous Japanese terry cloth and high-quality down fillings in the coziest pieces (cropped puffer, anyone?)

COLORS

One of the things we’ve always loved about Beckham’s designs is her use of color. Never color for color’s sake, but thoughtful hues that somehow feel both modern and timeless. In the Drop Four collection, expect burgundies next to classic camel tones, geometric color blocking and black core pieces spiced up with a little yellow.

Footwear takes a more monochromatic approach. The Drop Four collection will showcase an exclusive “paper white” Dual Court shoe, along with a reimagined version of Beckham’s archive favorite, The Rapide.

“For me, color feels really fresh, so we created a red and white version of the Rapide,” says Beckham.

ACCESSORIES

Nothing feels more seasonless than a great bag that combines fashion and function. This season, Beckham offers her take on a convertible tote-backpack and a new mini bag. Each comes in the burgundy and red colorways that have become a hallmark of the collection.

“I wanted to keep the colors across apparel, footwear and accessories distinct, but complementary,” says Beckham.

Knit beanies, long gloves and a branded neck warmer round things out. And the smallest item in the collection may just be our favorite: a fold-over logo sock to complement any sneaker (but preferably one by Reebok x Victoria Beckham). Talk about charming.
